X Factor U.S.A: Season 3! Episode 1 Review

Sorry I haven't been blogging. Started high school a few weeks ago and been having too many tests lately. But hey, now that I'm free lets talk X Factor Once Again! :D I would've talked about it last week, but as I said before there were delays.

The X Factor has gone back to the original categories from Season 1 (Girls, Boys, Over 25s, and Groups.) And their has been many unconfirmed reports that Demi gets the Girls, Paulina gets the Boys, Kelly gets Over 25s and Simon gets Groups once again. This will be confirmed after auditions, where judges will receive their categories RIGHT BEFORE the next stage of the competition. Speaking of next stage, Bootcamp and Judges Houses has been confirmed to be removed. Simon Cowell Stated: "It was one of the element of the show I wasn't happy with, and it looked too similar to what everybody else is doing." These stages of the competition has been replaced with a new middle section which was gone on to be described as "Very dramatic, really tough on us and the contestants, and high pressure" Simon Cowell described.

The X Factor Premiere was a good start to the show. I kinda felt like they showed A LOT of nos' to people instead a LOT of yeses to people. At least we got to see some successes in some Amazing Auditions. I'll be ranking all the successful auditions from each episode, one Wish I Could've Seen Auditions and Two Worst Auditions of the Night.

Here's A Recap of Episode 1

The Rise of Fame for Fifth Harmony

Fifth Harmony has been reaching success in the summer with four singles and a few covers to present on their tours. Two of these singles have been premiered for the whole world, yet the other two have just been performed on tour. One of these four singles has been filmed and released on iTunes as their first single.

Singles
1st Single - Miss Movin On (On iTunes/Music Video Released)
Miss Movin' On has gotten quite popular and has reached over 1.2 million views for their Lyric Video and almost 900 thousand views for their music video (currently). This song is often performed first during their nationwide tours this summer. The single's audio was premiered on June 15th, the Lyric Video premiered on June 18th and the music video on July 15th.

It was released on iTunes on July 16th and man do these girls sell their single! The single first reached (what I saw first) #57 (July 16 Afternoon), then grew to spot #22 (July 16 Evening) but now has fell back to #30 (July 17) on the iTunes Chart in the U.S.A.

Despicable Me 2 Review (Story Line and Plot)

Hello! Recently, I've watched Despicable Me 2 and I find it very entertaining and humorous. A thrill of laughter bursts out in the theatre every minute of the film and its a good thing if the producers and writers give themselves a pat on their back. Some parts are very weird/disturbing/weird (again). I wouldn't know if it is entirely right to say it is appropriate for little kids to see people showing affection for each other or trying to flirt or what not, but it is strange for them to see girls hitting on Gru.... anyways, here's what happened and if you want to spoil yourself because you didn't get to see it, then click away for the storyline of what I remembered!

Boston Bombing 2013

My heart goes out to the three people dead and the 134 people injured from the Boston Bombing. It just hurts me to see injuries that are so disturbing and incidents where people could care less about others. Why do people in humanity do this stuff? What do you get from it? I never knew that people would be so cruel. In the connecticut shooting, Africa's Kony and now this!?!?!?

An eight year old boy died because of the bombing. Do you know what that means? Whoever did this just stopped on dream to keep going on. Stopping one life that could've made a difference. One life that could've been whatever it wanted to be, but no, it was stopped.

What do you get out of doing this? What happens after this 'someone' bombed Boston? Whatever it was, it was for a selfish-greedy reason. I bet it was probably for money or someone was pressured, but why can't the world be in PEACE!? If the world never had guns, bombs, knives or any more harming equipment. Why can't we just live in the world driven by strength, courage, friendship and love? I just hope these things will stop and I really hate whoever did this. They just stop one little boy from reaching his dream. It stopped him from making his family proud. It stopped him from being successful. Trust me, this world is better off without violence and cruelty.

2nd Song Cover Days: Thrift Shop by Macklemore

Well, this upbeat song has been reaching the tops ever since it came out. Here are some amazing covers for you!

Alex G
Her rendition made it more relaxed, but it was still cool and upbeat.

Pentatonix
This is a very unique version and Pentatonix performs an acafella version of this song, and I just love it!

Lindsey Stirling and Tyler Ward
I like how they're both playing a violin in this. Nice!

Melanie Martinez

Remember her? She's from The Voice! She might not have a lot of views like the millions views above, but her style has that rasp that makes it so nice!

Clara C
This version is as Jazzy as it can get! I like how relaxed she was like Alex G, but she seems to have more of a soothing voice.

1st Song Cover Days: Just Give Me A Reason (P!nk)

(Sorry for a weird name :/)
I will be putting up covers from youtubers that I believe have good cover versions of a song I choose. At least 5 youtubers that are my favourites or maybe one that has lots of views, every 3 days for each song. Today is Just Give Me A Reason by Pink, hope you enjoy these covers!

Tiffany Alvord & Trevor
In my opinion, she has a unique voice. The added addition of Trevor, I think they make a good duet singing together. I think that Trevor has a good voice, but maybe a little thing that separates from other artists would be nice. Nice Cover!

Megan Nicole & Jason Chen
I think they're just perfect together. I believe that Megan shined more than Jason, but overall, it was amazing.

Alyssa Bernal & Josh Milan
This sounds so good acoustic, and these two voices work well with the guitar. Awesome Cover

Alexis Umathum & Cael
There were some parts that they made original, which I really like. Great Job!

Alex G
The Way she would go off in the start in a soft light voice, just kept me in love with the way she sang it later. I like how it wasn't an aggressive cover, just relaxed. Beautiful!

Survivor Caramoan: Cut Off The Head Of The Snake/Life At Ponderosa

So as we all know, or will know now :P, Michael got blindsided because Andrea didn't want to be targeted. She was worried that Malcolm or Reynold might have an idol, so she told the alliance to take out Michael, the only chance to re-gain their strategizing the next week.

Malcolm would've gone home if he wasn't suspecting Andrea, who told him and Dawn the plan and he knew the Andrea was calling all the shots, not Phillip. So he planned on blindsiding her.

Andrea and Eddie have a thing going on, their showing feelings for each other, but Andrea is playing him. She's just trying to see if he's playing her or actually liking her. Andrea told Eddie to trust her his name won't be written down to name, in exchange, Eddie informs Andrea that Malcolm was planning on taking her out.

In Tribal, Malcolm fooled Reynold into thinking that he, himself, would be going home. Malcolm wrote Reynold's name down, thinking Reynold might go home, but turns out in the votings Stealth R Us took out Michael.

Previously, Malcolm tried to flip Dawn and Sherri to his alliance, and he believed it work. Little did he know, Dawn and Sherri were playing him and told Stealth R Us what was happening. Phillip names Sherri as a member of Stealth R Us also, naming her Tenacity. Sherri no longer wanted to go with the fans due to the last voting.

Erik is also no longer part of Malcolm's rebellion against Phillip. He is staying loyal to Stealth R Us but there are no scenes of him exchanging information.

Life At Ponderosa
Sadly, Michael got eliminated. I mean, there was no surprise that he was going out soon. He was the easiest fan to target and hadn't exactly scrambled/convinced anyone else to keep him. Here's his ponderosa clip

Finding Nemo: SEQUEL!

After many disagreements in 2005, Circle 7 Animation decided to take a lead on Pixar films. They had created new sequels after 2005 like Toy Story 3 and Monsters Inc. 2. A writer was making a script for Finding Nemo 2, until Circle 7 was shut down.

Last year, they restarted with writers drafting Finding Nemo 2. This April, they've announced the sequel as: Finding Dory

Ellen Degeneres will be reprising her role as Dory and said this:

"I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time. I'm not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating Toy Story 16. But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It's got a lot of heart, it's really funny, and the best part is—it's got a lot more Dory."

Dancing with the Stars Season 16

Last night's performances were good. Here are the top and bottom scores.

Top Score
Zendaya and Val
Score: 24/30

I think, for a 16 year old, she was pretty good. She's the youngest one in the competition, but this performance proved age doesn't matter as she sets the bar high and gets the highest score.

Bottom Score
D.L. and Cheryl
Score: 12/30
Dance: Cha-Cha-Cha

Speak

Speak, Laurie Halse Anderson

Right now, I have finished reading Speak, Laurie Halse Anderson

It's about a girl named Melinda Sordino who is living in an animosity. Everyone in her junior-high give her looks and dislikes, but they don't know why she called the cops. Because of the party, she doesn't want to talk to anyone and they don't want to talk to her. Melinda is on her own, suffering through boring classes and explosive parents who argue with each other all the time. This book follows the life of Melinda Sordino after the party, through her life of hatred and acceptance. Because of the party, she doesn't want to talk to anyone and they don't want to talk to her.

Laurie Halse Anderson based this story on the same problems as herself and many other teenagers. She believed that this was the problem that all students were having: acceptance by peers. The true meaning of acceptance entails about many teens in our everyday life has been stressed out with how much they want to be accepted into society. Anderson developed this theme by listening to many apprehensive teens. Attending to them, this inspired her to write a novel that would speak to them. Have you ever felt like you didn’t belong, how everyone judges you?
Melinda Sordino (Kristen Stewart)
In the film Speak

This book was very good, I would say. It follows a life that many teenagers can relate to: grades, acceptance and courage. The fact that this story shows the true debts of who your friends REALLY are, made me realize the struggles others can face around me. I find it suspenseful because we all know there's an ending, but the way this darkly funny book has me on edge to wondering where the ending would go? There is some language that is in-appropriate at times, but many teens probably have heard them before, because that is partially social life now.

I hope everyone reading this can read Speak, which I believe is a good-relatable book to everyone.

My Happy New Years: 2013

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE! Hope you enjoyed. Here's how mine went.

First of all, I had a one-on-one time with my bed. It lasted till 12 o'clock before my dad decided it was time to get up. So I had a decent brunch when I got up.

Next, I was just relaxing and watching comedy shows, reliving competition shows and all that stuff. There was a new year's party at my aunt's house which I was dying to go to because it's so boring at home.

When I got there, I talked to some of my cousins and drank some pop. We were having the same old REALLY GOOD chinese food that my aunts' and uncles' order from all the time.

My cousin Leo came in with this boy named Andy, and Leo was a volunteer in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area. He was really shy at first, and he came upstairs when some of us were playing Call of Duty or some kind of deadly game (bad timing on Leo's part).

So we were playing till it was dinner and it was so good. My sister, 16 years old, got a taste of beer/wine/or whatever it is. I just know she got a taste of alcohol.

So my cousins Stephanie and Victoria, both 12, decided that they would play the board game Life with Andy and I. He's really shy at times, but he broke through by asking questions about the game.

We had some cake to celebrate New Years and after we played Hockey with everyone in my family (There's around 15 of us children: oldest is around 27). It was pretty intense, chasing after the ball (we couldn't find a puck) and so yeah.

Its so cool spending time with people we don't know, because they're so friendly.

Someday, I'll be a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area because I'd love to mentor and spend some quality time with others. That's on my to-do list.

Well, that's it. I got to go to sleep now, so:

HAPPY NEW YEARSS!!!!!!!!!
