Book Recommendation: The Michael Vey Series

Hey Everyone! Now I haven't exactly gotten into books as much but I can't stop reading this new book series that was brought to us in 2011! Well, not new exactly but it was new to me at the start of the year :) Anyways, its all about the story of Michael Vey where he is explaining his weird adventures through his life. Find out more about the plot by clicking the bottom-right button of this article!

So Michael Vey is a high school student who has Tourette's syndrome (this makes him blink a lot or make sounds such as gulping a little loud). He is constantly picked on by bullies who are much older than him. He's like every other normal kid, but other then the fact he has Tourette's, he is electric. He can generate electricity and this is the main reason he had to move from his hometown, so his mother could protect him and avoid chaos in their last home. When he discovers there is more people like him, he makes friends with a cheerleader (Taylor Ridley) who he has a crush on and they work together to learn more about their origins. When accessing missing birth records, this is where it all starts. An organization called the Elgen who want all the children that have electrical based powers so they can rule the world (I know, the typical villain thing to do -_-).When having web crawlers on the internet searching for two missing children, they notice the access of missing birth records and hunt down the two teenagers. This doesn't put only Michael and Taylor in danger, but their friends and family as well.

There is more to this book than just electrical powers. There is a lot of action, strategy, friendships and romances involved in this book. There is also a sequel when you're done the first book!

First Book - Michael Vey: Prisoner of Cell 25
Second Book - Michael Vey 2: Rise of the Elgen
Third Book - Michael Vey 3: Battle of the Ampere (Soon to come out!)
