The X Factor USA Season 3: Judging Panel

Turns out that L.A. won't be returning for another season. Britney and Demi are talking to the producers and Simon is already confirmed to be in the judging panel. I liked L.A., but he had to focus on his record label.

L.A. mentioned this on the Semi-Finals, so I should've been watching the whole time..... whoops. Ok, I hope the new judge brings more ratings to the show and I can't wait for the next season!!!!

Carly Rose Sonenclar's Parents accuse LeAnn Rimes

I really am fine with Tate Stevens winning, although I would've liked it if Carly won. Anyways, after the results, Carly's parents believed that LeAnn Rimes was trying to out-sing Carly during their duet. Carly's parents believed that this ruined Carly's chances of winning the competition.

To me it might have been Tate having more fans, but who knows? LeAnn explained that she was trying to help Carly because Carly was having some 'troubles' with the song. Also, LeAnn put her hair in Carly's face after the performance when they hugged.

The Voice Season 3 Finals: Tribute to Connecticut Victims

I truly feel sorry for the victims of the shooting and I don't know why a man would shoot kids for no reason. It's so sad. The Voice featured a performance of all the coaches and the live show contestants singing a song to tribute to the victims. It's so sweet and heartfelt, I wanted to cry.

The new and awesome United States of Pop 2012: Shine Brighter is out! Dj Earworm is the best DJ of pop, as I hear, and hear is a version of it.

Newtown, Connecticut Shooting

A man open fired at the Sandy Hook Elementary School. 26 people died in the shooting. 18 children, 7 adults and the man himself (don't know how he died, but he deserves it for killing 25 people). R.I.P. to the students and the adults. My heart goes out to all of those families who lost their children in this incident, you'll be missed by everyone.

I liked Arin's voice when he sings, but I guess pop isn't what they're always looking for. He has talent, but comparing him to the other acts, he would've got eliminated at some point.

So, the bottom two were: Cece Frey and Beatrice Miller.

I'm actually not surprised because Cece can be unlikable sometimes and is a little bit pitchy. Beatrice has a soft voice just like Drew (from season 1), so I can see why she's in the bottom because she hasn't exactly stepped up since Judges Houses.

Of Mice and Men (School Work)

What themes do you see emerging in the first chapter? Think about the way Steinbeck describes animals and nature along with how they interact.

Of Mice and Men follow two men named Lennie and George. They both have the same dream that drives them forward together. Some themes that I find emerging in the first chapter are Lennie and George need each other, Lennie’s innocence and isolation.

Lennie has the sense to always be curious and can be considered being ‘mental’. He gets in to trouble in the town, Weed, sometimes by petting strange things. He likes to pet mice and in page 11 George says to Lennie, “Jus’ wanted to feel that girl’s dress – just’ wanted to pet it like a mouse.” They got in trouble, but George was there to look after Lennie and hide from the incident. During the book when George said Lennie was just going to be a burden to him all the time (on pgs. 12 – 13). Lennie said if he should let George go alone, but George didn’t want to be alone. So really, George needs Lennie because he doesn’t want to be alone and Lennie needs George to look after him.

            Lennie’s innocence stands out because he likes to pet soft things. He pets mice because they’re so soft, but every time his Aunt Clara gave him a mouse, he would pet it too hard and kill it. He likes to pet mice as shown in the book, “I don’t know where there is no other mouse. I remember a lady used to give ‘em to me – ever’ one she got. But that lady ain’t here.” He liked getting mice from her that he wished he could pet one all day without killing one. Lennie doesn’t know what he’s doing sometimes and he’s doing it in the most child-like innocent way. He was petting the girl’s dress when he didn’t mean to scare her. He just doesn’t think of what others think but he is curious.

            Lastly, isolation is a big part because Lennie and George don’t want to be like any other farmer who works alone and doesn’t talk to anyone. They both show that they need each other in order to get through life. Their dream is to get a house and get away from their town and the past.

            I believe these themes will be growing in the past few chapters and the farm will obvious be the place to start.

Last night, after a very incredible first live shows, was the toughest decisions the judges had to make. Each judge had to eliminate one act from their team. First, the mentor chose the two people from their team that would go straight to live shows. After, the two that weren't picked would have a final showdown and sing. Blog Transformation and The X Factor.

I have gotten use to blogger and played around with a few stuff (Not Telling anyone my secret! I got help though). Now, I have changed my blog and the theme around. Tell me if it's good or not.

The Cat Patterns of Life

Have you ever wondered why some cats have patterned coats? How cats varies in all fur patterns?

The cheetah has a coat especially covered in circle blotches, while tabby cats have very big stripes. Why do they have it? It’s because of a particular gene that these cats share that makes blotches and stripes on cats. This gene can also cause mutations to these patterns in the future stages. The cheetah might have blotch stripes and the tabby might change its pattern to blotch spots. This particular gene that causes all of this is called the Taqpep Gene.

Canada's Northern Gateway Pipeline (School Work)

Recently we have been studying the Northern Gateway Pipeline that will be going through Alberta, B.C. and the ocean all the way to China. It will deliver oil through the pipeline and immigrate westwards. The Northern Gateway Pipeline is being managed by Enbridge which is an oil company. The problem is that many people don't trust the Enbridge because of recent oil spills in the past decade. Many people want to promote this Pipeline into action, but many others have concerns.

After reading several articles and seeing videos for and against the project, I believe that the project shouldn't be continued. Think of what would happen if the pipeline broke anytime in the ocean.

Half Brother By Kenneth Oppel (School Assignment)

Although I have talked about the book before, but this is for a school assignment.

Is it even possible to have a monkey as a brother? Brown-furry creatures, they would terrorize our homes!

Half Brother is a very melodious book written by Canadian author, Kenneth Oppel.  Oppel writes about the atypical life of Ben Tomlin. His new brother Zan is a monkey. No, I didn’t say he acts like one, he IS one. Ben’s mom and dad brought the chimp home to see if Zan, the monkey, can learn human sign language and the human life.

Hurricane Isaac damages over 59 thousand homes in L.A. I feel so bad for them and I wouldn't want to lose my home the way they did. But this isn't the worst, as in 2005 hurricanes Katrina and Rita gave back-to-back blows and damaged over 200 Thousand homes! I really want to help them, but they're so far away! :(

Government System

In class right now, I am learning about Canada's Government System. It turns out that its't not that easy to pass a law, as it has to go through three branches: The Executive, Legislative and then Judicial. Prime Ministers have to work hard to convince the House of Commons, the Senate, the Supreme Court and lastly, the Governor General. It's like this huge long debate, where you have to win against several opponents. Either way, it'd be an honour for anyone to be in this Government System and share your own ideas/problems with the government.

Do you remember InTENsity from last year, the group that has 10 different soloist that was put together by the judges? They were my favourite group but they got eliminated in the Top 12.             Bamfield (Victoria, B.C.) was a great experience. Probably saving the school’s paramount camping trip for last! I can imagine myself cradling back and forth on the Alta, the nice-exotic air in the rainforest and about millions of sea snails I killed, desolately. I never thought all this fun would ride with me so shortly.

             Yesterday was a long-dreadul day, but eyes open, I was ready to learn. We began with the Oceanography Plankton Tow. We went on a skiff, a bright-silver boat flashing before my eyes. Voyaging on the skiff with my group, the sound of waves bubbled behind.

iPhone 5

So the iPhone 5 comes out tomorrow and everyone seems so excited. The bad part is: it's going to be sold out. -_- So........ People are just too excited, Jimmy Kimmel decided to pretend to show people on the streets an iPhone 5, clearly being an iPhone 4. I'm surprised no one, i mean NO ONE, recognized it.

I know I had only watched half of this episode, but there were some amazing auditions. Such as Willie Jones, where he surprises everyone with his singing. In my opinion, he is a really good singer and he should make it to the judges houses.

The X Factor and Glee

I just finished half of the X Factor, and boy was that a crazy episode. There's a girl named Kristen Collon that has an outrage when she got 4 nos. I have switched to the new episode of Glee. I have just started with Britney's voice over, and now she's singing Hold It Against Me, Britney Spears with Kitty. I will also be posting one of the amazing X Factor auditions I just as well.

So I love to watch competition shows, such as: The Voice, The X Factor, Masterchef, Sweet Genius, Ironchef, Worst Chefs in America, HGTV Designstar, Chopped, American Idol, America's Got Talent, Britain's Got Talent, The Glee Project, Donald Trump: The Apprentice and Wipeout
I also love watching Glee. So I will be posting things related to these sometimes. So, the X Factor has a lot of talented singers I've seen. Such as Carly Rose Sonenclar.

Haikus/Show Don't Tell (School Assignment)

For my school assignment, I have to post two haikus about our 6-day school trip at Bamfield. (September 9-14)
Haikus are poems that go in a pattern.
5 Syllables
7 Syllables
5 Syllables
Example:
The lovely sun sets,
the dark ocean waves goodnight,
heavenly I sleep
Haikus are very complex poems that are very hard to make. You need to know a lot of words, which is why I use a dictionary/thesaurus.

By the way, the Alta is the name of a boat we were on, travelling and exploring on the Pacific. What I felt was really fun was getting soaked. Watching the sea lions, hearing barks and growls.

            On the highway leading down a steep hill, it began to snow. Our RV was jumping up and down over crusted roads that weren’t ridden on before.

            “Dad, are you sure you know where you’re going?”

            “I’m sure, Janie. This is just a short cut I used to take when I went down this road with Mr. Winters. We were fine… Well, in the summer.”

            I held onto the couch, with my pink blanket right on my lap.

            “Hey Janie, it’s 11:59! One more minute until your birthday, and Christmas too! You’ll turn eleven at midnight, which was the actual time you were born!”

About Me

I have created this blog to talk about how my life has been going on. I want to share the exciting parts of my last year in junior high, and I know many of you miss your last year of /about to be in/ are in  Junior High. I want to remember my years in my school. I love watching shows or reading books that add suspense. I will be willing to talk about what I do at my school, as having to read books are the first of the rest to come. I might just be one of those everyday people, but I don't want my blog to be filled with the most normal things in life.
