WE DAY!

We Day Alberta was just amazing yesterday!
There were so many speakers and performers. Bands and Singers like Shawn Desman, Hedley, Lights, Marianas Trench and more! Speakers such as Molly Burke, Spencer West, LARRY KING!!!! and others!

There were many inspirational performances and speeches. My top favourite speaker was Molly Burke. Her speech from yesterday was about how she was invited to go with some girls from her school outside to hang out. She fell down a hill and landed what seemed like a forest to her. She knew that this instant they were picking on her. She tried to grab her crutches but one of the girls smashed her crutches against the tree. She was always bullied at school and this one of the incidents. After explaining her story, she told us all to be silent and go along with the Free The Children Project 'We Are Silent.' No one likes to be silent, but this project is to be silent for all those who have been bullied and have felt they were never good enough. She told us to be silent for seven seconds and then later told her secret we all didn't know: She is fully blind. She didn't know the girls' faces or didn't know that she was going to a hill.
My other top favourite speaker was Spencer West. He only has half his body, no legs! I was very surprised by the fact he survived his life with only half his body. I don't think that I would've been this brave to go on. He lost his legs when he was five. In 2008, he flew to Kenya on an international volunteer ship, where he helped build a school for a rural community. Last year, Kenya experienced its worst drought. Spencer decided to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. He raised over $500, 000 dollars to help Kenya. I admired what he did and I hope in the future I can be as brave as him and help.

The singers were amazing and I was practically cheering my head off for each and every performance. We also learned about what we can do with our one drop and we saw a performance that included our Raindrop necklaces to flash! Everyone took out their necklace and the Saddledome was beaming light from every direction you face. We also learned a We dance.

Wherever you are in this world, make sure you help the Me To We communities all round the world. Furthermore, join them!
I love we day. Everyone is this world is We Day.
WE ARE WE DAY!!!!!!! ;)
