Despicable Me 2 Review (Story Line and Plot)

Hello! Recently, I've watched Despicable Me 2 and I find it very entertaining and humorous. A thrill of laughter bursts out in the theatre every minute of the film and its a good thing if the producers and writers give themselves a pat on their back. Some parts are very weird/disturbing/weird (again). I wouldn't know if it is entirely right to say it is appropriate for little kids to see people showing affection for each other or trying to flirt or what not, but it is strange for them to see girls hitting on Gru.... anyways, here's what happened and if you want to spoil yourself because you didn't get to see it, then click away for the storyline of what I remembered!

1. At the north pole (or some snowy place), the AVL (Anti Villain League)'s base has been taken away my a huge magnet.
2. The lab was taken away for a purpose of using a chemical that turns animals into purple indestructible beasts and the AVL plan to recruit Gru to help
3. Elsewhere, Agnes and her two older sisters celebrate Agnes' birthday with her friends in a medieval/fairy tale themed party. With a magic show and a fairy dressed Gru who covered up for the fairy who was unable to come
4. After the party, agent Lucy Wilde of the AVL tells Gru to come with her, and knocks him unconscious with her lipstick Taser
5. Two of Gru's Minions try to stop her, but also get captured and taken underwater in her car to an underwater base
6. Lucy's boss (Silas Ramsbottom), who's last name was humorously made fun of by the minions, wanted to recruit Gru to find the person who took their base. Gru refuses and says that he has to take care of his girls. Before leaving, Lucy says she admired him when he was a villain and if he ever changed his mind he should call her
7. When Dr. Nefario was sent off on his own, he decided to call Lucy and goes undercover to find the person who took the chemical
8. They work undercover at a Mall and disguise themselves as cupcake workers to find the missing chemical
9. Gru meets a man called Eduardo, who is an owner of Salsa & Salsa, who looks just like a villain Gru recalls as El Macho, a man who takes things out with his bare hands and exploded in a volcano performing a stunt of skydiving with a shark with dynamites tied to his waist
10. Lucy and Gru decide to search his restaurant at night, when the mall closed, but get into trouble with Eduardo's Chicken (who almost kicked their butts back there), but Lucy took it down
11. They go into the kitchen but only to find a secret Salsa recipe
12. Eduardo discovers that there were thieves in his restaurant but is blinded by Lucy's shot of ____(clay? glue?) so their cover wouldn't be blown. They barely escaped him and crashed Lucy's Car through the mall glass to get home
13. While Lucy and Gru look through a wig-merchant's store, Margo develops a crush on Eduardo's son Antonio which makes Gru angry
14. After confronting Margo, Gru and the girls are invited to Eduardo's Party
15. At the AVL, he kept accusing Eduardo and his son Antonio are behind stealing the lab, and kept accusing his son so he could be separated from Margo
16. Later, a crazy woman who is determined to find Gru a wife sets him up with Shannon, a skinny blonde girl wearing a dress that matches the stone age
17. Gru wears a wig on the date and almost gets humiliated by Shannon who suspects his wig, but Shannon gets shot in her butt by a moose tranquilizing dart by Lucy
18. Gru starts to have feelings towards Lucy, which makes him really happy! The next day at the mall, AVL finds a chemical bottle in the wig-merchants store and arrests the man, who claims that he has been framed
19. After that, Silas told Gru that the mission is over and now Lucy will be working in Australia
20. After being heartbroken, the family go to Eduardo's party where Gru and Antonio have a dance fight for Margo, but Margo takes Antonio away upset by Gru's actions
21. Gru follows Eduardo at the party and discovers he is El Macho! Also, he discovers that Dr. Nefario has been working for El Macho
22. While everything has been happening, Minions have been kidnapped throughout the storyline by El Macho's Machines
23. El Macho and Dr. Nefario reveal to have taken the chemical bottle and use it on the minions, who become purple indestructible beasts
24. El Macho offers Gru a chance to work with him to conquer the world, but only gets turned down with Gru walking away with the girls
25. Margo is upset that Antonio is dancing with another girl and is heartbroken, but when they leave, Gru freezes Antonio with his freeze ray
26. On the plane to Australia, Lucy learns that she loves Gru and jumps off the plane to get him back
27. Lucy goes to the party, but is taken away by El Macho and keeps her hostage after discovering that she works for the AVL
28. Gru then learns that she is held hostage, so goes after her with his two minions disguised in purple
29. He manages to get all of his minions back by squirting them with awful tasting jam, but when trying to take down El Macho, El Macho uses the chemical for himself and turns into an ugly giant purple beast
30. He is taken down by the minions
31. When El Macho had already tied Lucy to a shark on top of a missile headed to a volcano, he planned on pushing the button until the button is dropped out of his hands towards his chicken
32. The chicken wants payback towards Gru and Lucy, and when Gru goes to save Lucy, the chicken pushes the button and unleashes the missile
33. Gru manages to untie Lucy and they drop off to the ocean before exploding to the volcano
34. 147 dates later, they marry each other and the family dances at the wedding with an hilarious rendition of singing songs by the minions
