Hurricane Isaac
Hurricane Isaac damages over 59 thousand homes in L.A. I feel so bad for them and I wouldn't want to lose my home the way they did. But this isn't the worst, as in 2005 hurricanes Katrina and Rita gave back-to-back blows and damaged over 200 Thousand homes! I really want to help them, but they're so far away! :(
Government System
In class right now, I am learning about Canada's Government System. It turns out that its't not that easy to pass a law, as it has to go through three branches: The Executive, Legislative and then Judicial. Prime Ministers have to work hard to convince the House of Commons, the Senate, the Supreme Court and lastly, the Governor General. It's like this huge long debate, where you have to win against several opponents. Either way, it'd be an honour for anyone to be in this Government System and share your own ideas/problems with the government.

The X Factor
Do you remember InTENsity from last year, the group that has 10 different soloist that was put together by the judges? They were my favourite group but they got eliminated in the Top 12. Now Arin Ray from InTENsity has showed up for Season 2 and wants to be a solo artist, not a group. He wants to go all the way through this competition.

Also, Gene Simmons daughter has decided to audition, not as Gene Simmon's Daughter, but as herself and stepping out of her father's shadow. See how she did at her audition.

The Voice
The Voice (Season 3) is amazing, more and more contestants overwhelm the judges. I believe tomorrow will be the last day of blind auditions. Melanie Martinez, reminds me of Dia Frampton, runner-up of season 1, is a really great singer.

Bamfield Reflection (School Work)
I know I have talked about Bamfield too much, but I have to do a reflection on it and try to get my reflection on my school Spectrum (Newspaper):
Bamfield
Bamfield (Victoria, B.C.) was a great experience. Probably saving the school’s paramount camping trip for
last! I can imagine myself cradling back and forth on the Alta, the nice-exotic
air in the rainforest and about millions of sea snails I killed, desolately. I
never thought all this fun would ride with me so shortly.
Yesterday was a long-dreadul day, but eyes open, I was ready to learn. We began with the Oceanography Plankton Tow. We went on a skiff, a bright-silver boat flashing before my eyes. Voyaging on the skiff with my group, the sound of waves bubbled behind.

The X Factor
I found the audition of Krysten Colon!
Krysten Colon: Part 1
They told her to come back with another song after the first one was a little bad.
This video below was her second chance, but the storm stopped her song and wait till you see the reactions.
Krysten Colon: Part 2
The storm sets the mood for most of the auditions.

Where I'm From
This is a poem I have wrote last year for a book called Tom Finder. We had to write a where I'm from poem, editing Show Don't Tell into it as well.
The Deep Soul
I’m from
gloomy-dusty spaces,
Where
crickets chirp to the muted grace.
I am from a
place of suppressed secrets,
With too much
concealed in open spaces.
From the
stunning dawn rays,
Where the shine
brings out my deepened soul.
From the
who-cares,
And abruptly
bolting off to a new blissful home.

iPhone 5
So the iPhone 5 comes out tomorrow and everyone seems so excited. The bad part is: it's going to be sold out. -_- So........ People are just too excited, Jimmy Kimmel decided to pretend to show people on the streets an iPhone 5, clearly being an iPhone 4. I'm surprised no one, i mean NO ONE, recognized it.

I know I had only watched half of this episode, but there were some amazing auditions. Such as Willie Jones, where he surprises everyone with his singing. In my opinion, he is a really good singer and he should make it to the judges houses.

Dogs
I love dogs so much! Well, I love every animal with eyes......yeah.

This is just adorable to watch and I'm sure dogs don't have much common sense on ratting out friends.
Here is a picture I took of a local dog in my school community

I love taking photos of nature but usually I am camera shy, so if someone holds a camera at me, expect me to duck out. Here are some of the photos I liked that I have taken this year.

I also love watching Glee. So I will be posting things related to these sometimes. So, the X Factor has a lot of talented singers I've seen. Such as Carly Rose Sonenclar.

Haikus/Show Don't Tell (School Assignment)
For my school assignment, I have to post two haikus about our 6-day school trip at Bamfield. (September 9-14)
Haikus are poems that go in a pattern.
5 Syllables
7 Syllables
5 Syllables
Example:
The lovely sun sets,
the dark ocean waves goodnight,
heavenly I sleep
Haikus are very complex poems that are very hard to make. You need to know a lot of words, which is why I use a dictionary/thesaurus.
Haiku 1
Rocking back and forth
Getting drenched in salt water
The Alta Was Fun
By the way, the Alta is the name of a boat we were on, travelling and exploring on the Pacific. What I felt was really fun was getting soaked. Watching the sea lions, hearing barks and growls.

Storywriting
I love to story-write. It's what I love to do. I am full of ideas, it just takes a long time to write it out. here is one of my prologues I made.

Prologue
December
30, 2009 11:58 PM
On the highway leading down a steep
hill, it began to snow. Our RV was jumping up and down over crusted roads that
weren’t ridden on before.
“Dad, are you sure you know where
you’re going?”
“I’m sure, Janie. This is just a
short cut I used to take when I went down this road with Mr. Winters. We were
fine… Well, in the summer.”
I held onto the couch, with my pink
blanket right on my lap.
“Hey Janie, it’s 11:59! One more
minute until your birthday, and Christmas too! You’ll turn eleven at midnight,
which was the actual time you were born!”
My mom was smiling, ready to scream
out Happy Birthday and sing. The snow was starting to fall faster, each
snowflake bunched up on the driver’s w
About Me
I have created this blog to talk about how my life has been going on. I want to share the exciting parts of my last year in junior high, and I know many of you miss your last year of /about to be in/ are in Junior High. I want to remember my years in my school. I love watching shows or reading books that add suspense. I will be willing to talk about what I do at my school, as having to read books are the first of the rest to come. I might just be one of those everyday people, but I don't want my blog to be filled with the most normal things in life. I don't mind if you don't like my blog, but I wish you to stick around in my blog to enjoy what life has offered to me. If you have any suggestions for books that should be read, but don't seem to get attention, be willing to share with me.

The Start of Grade 9
The Start of a new school year was great! The Bamfield Marine Science Center (Victoria, B.C.) is the best place to explore, with the lovely sounds of the ocean and the amazing things you'll learn about diversity in marine biology.
